So...Hi Lira, I also went to his workshop yesterday! Sorry to hear you missed it; like Blaqbird said, he was very forthcoming and very informative. Oh, he also mentioned how it's not hard to Taft-Harley an actor, so we shouldn't feel bad for submitting even if we're non-union.

I think you might live in the Valley (since you mentioned Laurel Canyon) as do I. Anyway, why I bring this up? Well, I didn't feel like driving, since this is LA and Paul McCartney had a concert last night @ Hollywood Bowl. So, I took the Metro. It took me like 10mins from Hollywood and Highland stop to get to AADA, and my car was parked for free on NoHo Station. You could give it a shot next time ( :Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5003375476054427023.post-90568567306731464942010-03-31T00:01:07.172-07:002010-03-31T00:01:07.172-07:00Hey Blaqbird, thanks for the info! He plays in a band regularly, and going to his shows can count as networking, meaning deductions come tax time!

Sorry. I just went and got my taxes done today. They're still on my brain. :)Lira Kellermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17642476041389723474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5003375476054427023.post-72642196405932908632010-03-30T23:03:09.489-07:002010-03-30T23:03:09.489-07:00Hey! He answered all of our questions (well, I didn't ask any but everyone else's questions were answered), and I learned a lot. He gave out a few websites to visit including donotpay.org, actors-network.com, and Department of Industrial Relations. I'm sure you've heard of these but since I'm fairly new to acting I was excited to get additional info. I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to make it, but he seemed like a really cool, chill guy who doesn't like reels (surprised us all), enjoys receiving phone calls, and genuinely likes actors. I'm sorry that this is so long, but I do really enjoy your blog. It's really inspiring!blaqbirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03892977967572709118noreply@blogger.com
