"The label you give yourself cannot impact external forces that are not motivated by your own psychology or influenced by a third party's pre-existing consciousness of you. We are all presented with reasons to struggle which come from completely external forces; to pretend that one is not struggling is either arrogance or an admission of defeat. To admit that one is struggling is a sign and a source of strength." - Evan A. Baker

This email just made my 2010!

From: Paul
To: Lira

Don't take this the wrong way but I just sat and watched the haunting of winchester house on netflix. it was so bad i had to google it for reviews and came across your blog. i know you didn't write it and most likely are a nice person and good actress but wow that was just so bad. thank you for letting me vent. i feel a bit better now.

And my response:

Paul!!

I COMPLETELY agree! I wish I could give you your money back!

Hopefully you'll see me in something better soon.

Happy New Year!
Lira :)

Happy New Year Everyone! May your 2011 be your Best Year Yet!

  2. How much do I love that you just listened, without ego, and sent out a lovely reply that shows how amazing you are?

(Picture me opening my arms super-wide). THAT much.

  3. That reminds me of a story Carol Burnett told of being on an airplane when they were showing a bad movie she was in.At first people were excited to be on the plane with her, but it got uncomfortably quiet after the movie . Carol then stood up and apologized to everyone for the movie. Everyone laughed and applauded and the tension was broken. Sounds like you are as classy as Carol Burnett :)
